F.A.Q.'s

This is a list of F.A.Q's that I have done to kinda help out everyone and to save myself time.

 1.  How long did it take you to hit your goal? 


I started my journey in May 2008 at 360 pounds.  It took me 9 months to lose my first 100 pounds and I wound up celebrating 200 pounds lost in August 2011.  I regained 40 pounds at the end of 2014 so I'm busy getting rid of that now.


2.  Have you ever plateaued?


I have. You just keep swimming. Swimming.


3.  What exactly did you do to lose it all?


Besides get it in my head that this was going to happen no matter what....I started on the Weight Watcher's Core plan in 2008 and have tweaked things ever since!  


4.  Why do you have to re-lose some of the weight?


Because my mom passed away in August 2014.  I am emotional eater and normally have a grip on it, well not so much after that.  I am slowly getting my act together though.  
I'm always truthful about my up and downs, no matter how ugly.  


5.  How do you get your family to eat healthy?


It was a case of me having a total heart to heart with my husband.  I told him what I really wanted and we decided to change it together.  He is my rock <3  As for the kids, I buy the food so they had no choice really.  My middle one is a picky eater and wouldn't eat vegetables but I pureed them into what I cooked at first.  Now he loves raw veggies!


6.  Do you have a back ground in psychology?

Nope.  I found my balance and I want to help others find theirs.  If your problems are out of my reach I will refer you to see your doctor.  In fact consult with your doctor no matter what someone says on the interwebs, this includes me lol  I am actually in college majoring in Environmental Biology though.



7.  Why do you focus on the mental aspect of weight loss?


The mental aspect is one that needs to be drilled into our heads.  It's not only about weight loss.  If you change your attitude, you will truly change your whole life.  No matter where we are in our journey, no matter the plan we are on, no matter what exercise we do....we can all benefit from a positive mental attitude.  It's my way of making the world a better place :)


8.  How tall are you?


I'm 5' 8" or technically 5' 7 3/4"


9.  Do you have loose skin?


I do but it really doesn't hold me back.  I've also learned how to dress to hide it if I want to.  If I could ever save enough to take the loose skin off of my legs it'd be nice lol.  Spanx is my best friend though ;)

10.  What is that pink watch you are always wearing in your workout pictures?

11.  What is your average running pace?


11-12 minutes a mile


12.  How do you stay motivated?



Motivation is a fleeting thing. One minute you have it and then the next minute you don't. This is where the commitment you make to yourself comes in. Value your relationship with yourself like you would any other important relationship.

13.  Did you have weight loss surgery?

No....I'm scared to death of needles.  The only surgeries I have had are c-sections, and that was beyond my control.
